Patio & pool deck leveling

Patio & pool deck leveling in Eastlake & Lake County

Settled patio slabs and sinking pool decks raised back to level with polyurethane foam. Lightweight, waterproof, and done in hours. The mudjacking alternative that does not stress your pool walls.

The problem

A tilted patio sends water straight at your house

Patios usually settle toward the house because the backfill around the foundation was never compacted like the rest of the yard. When the slab tilts, every rain runs at your basement wall.

Pool decks sink the same way. Water splashes over the coping, works into the base, and the slabs drop. You get trip edges right where people walk barefoot.

Foam lifting fixes both without demolition. The foam is light, so it does not add load next to pool walls, and it is waterproof, so splash water cannot wash it out. Small holes, a controlled lift, and the slab sits flush again.

Signs to watch for

When a patio or pool deck needs lifting

Slab tilting at the house

The patio pitches toward the foundation and rain runs at the basement wall.

Gaps under door thresholds

The slab dropped away from the door and daylight shows underneath.

Trip edges at the coping

Pool deck sections sit below the coping stone and toes catch the edge.

Rocking slabs

A section moves when you step on it. There is a void underneath.

Standing water

Puddles that stay after rain mean the deck no longer drains away from the pool.

Widening joints

Joints between sections keep opening up as the slabs settle and spread.

How it works

Level again in four steps

A few penny sized holes through the slab. No demolition.

Patio & pool deck questions

Frequently asked

Is foam safe next to a pool?
Yes. Polyurethane foam weighs a fraction of mudjacking slurry, so it does not push on pool walls. It is also waterproof, so splash and rain cannot wash it out.
Can you lift a patio that tilts toward the house?
That is the most common patio job we do. We raise the settled side so the slab drains away from the foundation again.
Will the holes show?
We drill penny sized holes and patch them with a color matched mix. You will find them if you look, but most people never notice.
How long before we can use the patio?
The foam cures in about 15 minutes. Walk on it the same day, put the furniture back the same day.
